Growing Toward The Light

by holli on June 2, 2014

The month of May was full of beauty and growing pains. And, the main theme that ran through all of it was light. I use photography to help me feel grounded and sometimes will walk and focus on the light or beauty that I see in the details.

It’s also a way for me to help contribute to my family’s income. So, I took a class on studio lighting, because it’s my weak spot in photograph skills. I am used to using natural light and have always shied away from studio light. This class taught me how to use studio lighting and make it look like natural light! I’m so excited to grow in this area, and while taking the class was struck by how much light has been the theme for the month.

From my daughter’s first Talent Show to my son’s first Class Camping trip (yes, the entire 2nd and 3rd grade went camping), we had several new adventures in this house. As we enter June, I’ve decided to share a bit of the light through my favorite Instagram Snaps of the month…
